*The Application Portal is CLOSED and will reopen October 1, 2026 for applicants seeking scholarships in the 2027-28 school year.

Albert Camus once said, “Life is the sum of all your choices.” This powerful idea resonates deeply in many areas of life—including personal finance.
Reflect on your journey so far and consider the financial decisions you or your family have made. Looking back, which of these choices stand out as meaningful “teachable moments”? How have they shaped your understanding of money, responsibility, or planning for the future? As you prepare for the next chapter in your education and life, how will these lessons guide you?
In addition to administering Curis Financial Credit Union Scholarships, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation also provides nearly 40 additional scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Members can apply for both Curis Financial Credit Union Scholarships and Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Scholarships at the same time using the link above. Please note applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for one of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation scholarships.
The Foundation added two additional scholarship categories in 2023. The Foundation Opportunity Scholarship, which recognizes students breaking barriers of access, such as first-generation college students, women planning to study typically male-dominated fields, or those serving and supporting underserved populations. Additionally, the Foundation Social Responsibility Scholarship helps those planning to pursue degrees promoting social good or welfare, including teaching, social work, or nonprofit studies.
The application period is open from October 1-February 1.
